All year round, Valrhona’s Cité du Chocolat welcomes visitors to discover the many facets of the magical product that is chocolate.

Experience the World of Chocolate with Valrhona at the Cité du Chocolat

The Cité du Chocolat has an educational mission to pass on a love of good chocolate to generations of all ages, in a center that unveils a whole new world to the general public.

From sensory experiences to culinary workshops, makers' secrets and virtual journeys through the plantations, the Cité du Chocolat immerses visitors young and not-so-young deep into the heart of this mysterious "black gold."

It has seen remarkable success: Now welcoming 140,000 visitors a year, it is France's number-one chocolate attraction.

From the origin of cocoa beans to the wide range of chocolate recipes, all the way to the discovery of a virtual chocolate factory, a new "mini line" of artisanal chocolate production or a multi-sensory stopover, visitors make their way across the ground floor of the Cité du Chocolat, opened in 2013.

Chocolate lovers will extend their visit alongside the pastry chefs of the École Gourmet, discovering recipes and tricks of the trade in the new Dulcey Teaching Kitchen, entirely dedicated to the practice of pastry making. These themed workshops will be offered to visitors who want to get right in the action.

Chocolate at the heart of the plate

Cité du Chocolat is also now a place where you can dine! Comptoir Porcelana has opened its doors and offers a totally new 100% chocolate experience. On the menu: duck parmentier with dark chocolate, seafood parmentier with Dulcey chocolate, or vegetables with cocoa nibs. An exhilarating experience for the taste buds!
